I have had my 3 year old Leopard Tortoise in a large baby pool on my apt. balcony for the last 3 months. The summers here in PHX get nice and warm and he is thriving. However, it is now beginning to sink to the 60 degree mark at night and I have brought him inside until I can come up with a way to heat him up outside on the balcony.
Has anyone ever tired something like this?
I was thinking about building a small “shed” that I could hang a heat lamp from and then sliding part of the baby pool under it. I am concerned about fire and electrical problems if it were to rain.
If anyone has any pictures of their setup, particularly the heating aspect, I would really like to see them.
