Smokin' pair of Trinket Rats *DUW*

Kestrel Oct 22, 2006 01:39 PM

Acquired these as part of a trade yesterday at a local show. Female shed last night after getting her home, and boy what a difference. Check out this male though! He is HOT! Has to be the prettiest Trinket i've ever seen. Smaller one is the male, female is the big beast. I believe he said she is proven, but he's a little over a year. Hoping come spring i'll have some eggs.

Female

Together for comparison

Great animals,Brienne.
I don't know why we don't see more Trinket Snakes around.
They are a more managable size for a pet and they look good!

Brie, nice looking pair. That male really has some nice color. He almost looks to be carrying some kind of mutation. Good luck with those...

Kinda similar (ish, very ish!)
Female

Notice the funky patterning on her back. I hope she retains her markings when fully mature ('05 hatched, not by myself I hasten to add).

Gorgeous little thing. Maybe a breeding loan may be in order in the future?

Thank you, I think that male of yours is a stunner! I'm afraid I'm in the UK. Was that an offer of a flight over? If you have any spare tubs I could stay in one of those until we get eggs, would I still need a green card?
I've been on the look out for a similar trinket to pair her up with, as of yet I haven't stumbled across one. There seems to be quite a bit of variety within this species, some greens, 'hi yellows' & a I've seen pictures on a forum of some with a bluey tinge too. All are gorgeous to my eyes though, as a previous poster said I can't understand why these haven't taken off, they seem to have everything, easy to maintain and breed with looks to drool over. All the very best with your breeding projects!
Kind regards, Dev.
