Ollie & Fran, the Hermanns, look on while Tut the Egyptian gets an after dinner shell rub. All of these guys seem to really enjoy having their shells rubbed. Often times they will extend their back legs & wiggle their rear ends as I rub back of their shells.

I've never tried the shell rub much, always use the gentle head pet instead. Let me see if my Hermanns likes the shell thing.

Our big sulcata loves a shell rub then this year I discovered that 2 of our box turtles like it as well.

That's a nice Egyptian! How long have you had it housed with the Hermann's? If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the Egyptian? I'd love to get a few and they are so hard to find.
