Final Setup

in2deep Oct 22, 2006 06:46 PM

I think I've finally got my setup ready.
Cool side gets into the low to mid 80's.
Hot side gets up to about 100 air temp, but the basking rock gets to about 115-119 on the surface according to the temp gun I have.
I plan on running it for a few more days to make sure that my temps are controlled, then I'm ready to order. Doug @ Deer Fern has a mali yearling picked out for me.

Here's the overall view:

Basking side and cool hide. There are 3 levels to the basking side. The rocks on the basking side are all held together with epoxy. They aren't going anywhere...

Looks like you got it all set and are good to go. I know you'll enjoy your new buddy. Your research shows how much you care. Great job!!!!

the cage looks nice but i would have to recommend getting the temps up a little higher. 120 is the minimum, mine prefer it hotter.

but it looks like the little guy is going to like it in there

If you could build up your basking spot another inch or two, you'd get much better basking temps of 120 .
