I used what I think is called the Iris CB 70 tubs for most of my adult pits, which is Dimensions: 17 3/4"W x 33 1/2"L x 6"H. I used to be able to buy them at The Container Store but now around here, it seems that they do not stock them anymore so I will have to order them from an online source, such as reptiletubs.com .

If I was going to build a rack, that is exactly what I would use.

Take care!

Hi Robert

There's also the Iris CB-110(39"L x 19 7/8"W x 6 1/4"H), the CB-75 (37 3/10"L x 22 3/10"W x 6 4/5"H), or the bigger VE-175 (52 7/8"L x 20 7/8"W x 14 1/16"H) which would really be nice for these active colubrids. All of those dimesions are top of the tub measurements so the floor space would be a little different since most tubs tapers down a bit. A bigger box is easier to spot clean also since the animal has less chance of moving around the mess and would give more area for the animal to crawl around and stretch. Since these are large tubs I would use a hollow core design when planning for a rack system. The rack will be extremely heavy if you use melamine shelves. Check out the cage and enclosure forum for some examples. There have been a few people who have made the hollow core design or used the larger tubs. There's a lot of helpful folks in that forum. Hope this helps a little. Take care.
