Baby Fischer's boas.. born today

Roy Stockwell Oct 23, 2006 02:57 AM

Well finally, about 6 months post copulation... came home from work today to find these little gems sitting
quietly in a shoebox with their mother... She was none to happy about me messing with them either. Oddly enough, none of them had left their mother. I suspect they were only a couple hours old in these photos, as they weren't born at 8am when I last checked
This is one of two gravid females to go... and another new species for me... It sure feels great to breed a new species for the first time.
There are 13 large offspring and a couple of slugs
Some of these guys are a gorgeous red colour.

Below.. the two mothers that both produced litters 24 hours apart

Here they are after their first shed... These guys are looking great.. lots of red ones

That's awesome! Congrats! Now there's a boa I have never personally seen. They are absolutely gorgeous and the babies look fantastic! Congrats again.
