ball hybrids

goregrind Oct 23, 2006 04:18 AM

i think there will be a sudden increase in ball hybrids (and attempts) in the next few years. with the HUGE list of ball morphs and combos and recent hybrids like "the wall" and the "F2 superball" combined with the popularity of balls and falling morph prices i think alot of people will be scrambling to make the next hybrid morphs.

picture it, a pastel wall, an albino x axanthic blood (white with red pattern), a spider wall, a super pastel orange ghost superball, a crystal wall, a cinnamon angolan ball, a carpet x ball, there are truly infinite possibilities.

I think that a lot of the ball morph lines are derived from hybridizing.
And the more hybrids the better, as all the line breeding of pure types has made them geniticly weak.

i dont think many ball morphs are hybrids, would bee too easy to tell: the morh would be very random, completely dominant but would fade out quickly when bred to normals

Its the breeding back to the non hybrid normal that makes it undetectable.

and why would it fade out quickly. the genitic traits that are carried through will still be their but just dominated by the look of the ball that you would be working with.

The morphs you see today didnt happen overnight, they have been worked on for years.

to assume that the morphs are hybrids is like thinking jfk's assassination was a conspiracy

None of those you listed are morphs. Those are hybrids. The crossing of morphs into other species has only just begun, especially with Balls.
