New habitat/ enclosure/ cage design

buckroebeardie Oct 23, 2006 08:25 PM

Hello,

I am in the process of developing a new line of enclosures for the reptile and amphibian trade/hobby.

I could really use some hobbiest and breeder input as to what you would like to see in a commercially available habitat/enclosure?

This line will be solid PVC.
Please give me ideas on sizes, designs, shapes, accesories and anything else you think is important or just would be cool to have.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Do you really mean solid PVC? I lifted a sheet of solid PVC at a plastic distributor a few years back and it was extremely heavy and quite flexible.

If I were to buy a commercial cage that would weigh that much I'd rather have a furniture quality wood cage. If I remember correctly, 1/2" solid PVC weighs the same as 3/4" plywood.

Otherwise, it would be nice to see more cages that are taller than most of what is available.
