Any thing i need to know first? Tips, hints, care, behavior, experiences, etc? New to chucks, not reptiles.

I am building an outdoor cage 10x10 ft and i am wondering if i can plant any edible plants inside. Do you know any that do well in southern CA? I live pretty close to palm springs. Does hispidus like creosote bushes?

I have a 6ft x 2.5ft x 2ft water trough for it indoors.

I am only getting one to get used to them first. I want more when i get used to them.
