i have a question about uvb lighting

Amelie Aug 06, 2003 05:24 PM

i read that the uvb rays only are effective 1 foot is that true?
if so how would a chameleon get the rays he needs when the cage is 4 feet tall?

if you are using a standard tube light, then yes. the cham gets the uv when it basks. i use mercury vapor bulbs, and the light can penetrate up to 4'.
