Look who I met

I haven't posted anything in a long time, but I can't resist this. I went and saw a show called Tales from the Field with Jeff Corwin yesterday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I was told there was no back stage passes and no time for photo ops by one of the venues management guys. Being as shy as I am, I stalked the back stage door and waited for Jeff to come out when the show was over. We talked snakes for a few minutes before he had to leave. I wish I had a brain that could retain half of the knowledge he possesses. Since I'm not very full of myself, I thought I should share this picture with the rest of you. It should look pretty good on my snake room wall. Jeff was just as out going and funny in person as he is on TV.

Why is it I always hear about these things a day late and a dollar short! I live all of 1.5 hrs from Fayetteville, and would very much have liked to have seen that show! Awesome photo though. What was the show about exactly?

You are lucky!! I like Jeff Corwin a lot. He's very funny and, as you said, he has a lot of knowledgements. I'd love to meet him some day!

Chance,
The show was intended to be on an elementary level. I didn't learn anything from him although he was still very entertaining. He brought a Cane Toad, Savanna Monitor, alligator snapping turtle, Alligator, Scarlet King, Albino Burm, and a Western Diamond back. He had volunteers from the audience come up to assist with each animal, except for the rattler. It was like watching him on the tonight show, without Jay Leno always steeling the spot light. My purpose for attending the show wasn't really to learn anything. I can do that watching him on T.V. My intent was to meet him and get that picture! I am sure it was a great show for all the kids. Sorry you missed out. If I ever hear of anything like this coming to the area again I will let you know about it.

Billy, Thanks for the future heads up. Hopefully you'll have the opportunity! I too would've just been there to see him in action in person. You just don't often get the opportunity to see t.v. herper personalities in person. Ah well, one of these days.
