I have the Sterilite 15qt.
Clearview Model # 1754

I went to the actual shop and picked mine up, they were very friendly and answered all my questions. It was pretty easy to put together also.

I have had it for a few months and have been pretty pleased with it. Saves space, and on my heating bill over having separate cages for all my baby snakes like I use to do. Just make sure if you get one you buy some bolts to drop in the holes on the front so they can't push out if you don't get the tub pushed all the way back.

I love my Visions!!

They are easy to assemble, sturdy and function perfectly. I love that one rack can handle different tub sizes so that I can house adults, juvies and hatchlings all in the same rack and I didn't have to buy a seperate rack for each tub size. I love that I can adjust the heat going to each level by adding or subtracting how the heat cable is routed - the cable has also cut down on my heating bill. I really love that they were hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other comprable racks that I looked at - which left more money for more snakes. And most of my concerns about exposure or heat loss turn out not to be an issue after all. Not to mention the customer service at Vision is excellent!!! I think these are great racks and perfect for the small or entry level breeder!

do you have any issues with the tubs not staying securely in the rack? or shifting from the rack?

toshamc Oct 24, 2006 01:25 PM

Not at all

with everything Tosha said. The new vision racks are great, and probably the only racks I will be using from now on. If you do decide on another company may I suggest Animal Plastics.

I have the original Vision Racks and absolutely love them. I'm not to crazy about the new design but wouldn't rule them out. I also have an Animal Plastic Rack and love it as well. Ron

I really like my vision rack. I was able to buy mine used hoping to be able to evaluate the rack before purchasing more. I couldn't be happier with the rack that I have. The tubs are perfect size for large female ball pythons and sub adult boas.

I've had it for about six months and will soon buy more...

The old ones are better in most ways than the new ones, IMO.

The new racks are so far superior to the old vision racks that there is no comparison.

There is not one aspect of the old ones that are superior to the new ones.

*** For one thing the new racks look cheap compared to the old ones.
