Black Tree Feeding Tips . . . . . .

nathan23 Oct 24, 2006 02:07 PM

Just curious if anyone out there had any experience in getting a black tree to eat pinkies along with crickets. I've tried three different species of roach, crickets, and pinkies/hoppers. She wont touch anything but the crickets. Any tricks into getting them to accept different food items? I got her a couple weeks ago and already she has put on about 15g.

thanks

wait. my ackie wouldn't eat pinkies, crickets, or roaches for the first month or so either. now he eats all of them but ive stopped feeding crickets as ive started a colony of roaches and he eats roaches like crazy now.

You may also try scenting the other prey items with the cricket or the cricket's guts. I'm not sure that it will work, but it's worth a try.
