Great looking litter.
No fair selling some of them off, before posting pics.

Can we see pics of sire/dam?

I have a big female BCO, but the male won't be ready 'til this time next year.

They will be my very first attempt, at breeding boas (or any other reptile, for that matter).

Best of luck with breeding them when your male is ready. I'm afraid all babies currently have names against them, so at least on paper are all sold - yup very unfair! lol! The parents are both 10yrs old (7ft 2in - female, male slightly over 6ft) and I do have another female 6yrs old (also over 6ft) I'll be putting to the male this year hopefully, she didn't seem that interested last year though. I'll be giving this years Mom a year off although she's regaining weight (well that's the plan but I may reconsider if she looks in top condition closer to Dec).
As to pix of the parents, I only have a couple of the female (all pix of the male aren't aren't very good as they were rushed), I should really take some more, when I get a minute spare.
Mom looking over the kids.

Gravid Mom pic taken early on.

Mom & Dad getting in the mood.

Mom as she normally looks without a male attached to her and not full of babies.

Thanks for the pics. That's actually the first pic I've ever seen, with Argentines doing the deed. It gives me hope for next year.

IMO they are under rated. I wonder how many people know that they are endangered/protected in their native country?

Out of curiosity, how are the temperments of your adults?

In the UK & Europe, everyone that owns one has to have the animals micro chipped (by 15 months old) & in be in possession of the specimen specific paperwork that accompanies the animals. So we can't avoid not knowing!

I agree, they are underrated. Beautiful snakes. Temperaments are actually fine with all adults I own. If they fall off a branch or whatever they get cranky, so you just leave them alone for a few minutes to cool down. Mainly they are hissers and bluffers. I've heard of the odd few that do this well and know they do it well enough, that they tend to back it up with strikes! lol.

I only handle mine infrequently, to get them out of their enclosure during feeding or to separate them when introductions are being made. I never have to man handle the female to introduce to the male, that particular pair seem to be fond of each other! I just open the females enclosure, wait until her nose is pressed on the glass of the males enclosure and open it for her. Surely is every mans dream to find a partner so keen? lol!

Young Argies don't seem to 'tame' down until they are around a year old. Atleast, that's been my experience. Wishing you all the best with getting them to do the deed.
