If a snake is said to be feeding on Live and F/T- Mice "chubs" what does that mean? What are mice chubs?

i have never heard of mice chubs

Feeding live is just that, giving the snake its mice alive

Feeding F/T is frozen then thawed mice (dead but warmed back up) given to the snake

feeding f/t is often much better, there is no risk of the mice biting the snake and you can keep frozen mice in your freezer for months. There is also less risk of parasites with mice that have been frozen. You can buy them frozen and get them shiped to your house (packed with dry ice in my case). You don't have to keep live rodents this way. Just dont put the mice in the microwave, put them in a plastic bag and put the bag in warm water, not too hot (you don't want to cook them)

As for chubs
it refers to a size of mice, I don't know what size a chub is thow.

The mouse sizes I know go from
small pinky, medium pinky, large pinky, peach fuzzy, fuzzy, hopper, weanling, large adults, to extra large adults.
You can some times get extra small pinkys, and I have heard of mice crallers, I think they are in the fuzzy range.

I've never heard of chubs used with rodent sizes either.

reds (day old pinks / extra small)
pinks small
pinks medium
pinks large
fuzzy small (peach fuzz)
fuzzy large (crew)
hopper (jumper)
weanling (sub adult / small adult)
adult
jumbo (usually retired breeder females)

I think a "chub" probably fits in with either fuzzy or hopper stage as they tend to be more pudgy/chubby things at that stage before they lean out as an adult.

A google image search for "chub mouse" found the above image and a few other fishing lures. Not sure if it's meant to offered live or f/t.

day old pinks (small)
week old pinks (large)
fuzzy (small hairs)
crew cuts (large fat fuzzies with eyes still closed)
hoppers (open eyes and jump around a lot)
small mice
large mice (some combine this term with the term jumbos)
