dangerous molds and fungas

johnnymo Oct 25, 2006 12:56 AM

is there any kind of mold or fungas that is dangerous or i should look out for? i bought a piece of cork bark from the pet store and the dry white mold it had on it came back to life and is now spreading to the moss. im begging to see little white clumps of it on the moss. is that normal/safe?

The fungi you see are both normal, harmless, and even beneficial. It's all a part of keeping a living biologically recycling vivarium. If you can see it growing, it isn't a frog pathogen.
