thats perfectly normal for a new animal. When i first got my leopard gecko he refused to eat for the first 10 days. Then when i tried feeding him one day he gobbled up the crickets as soon as they hit the ground haha. you can also try feeding it at night. One of my leopard geckos will only eat if the room is very dimly lit and he is sure that he is alone.
p.s. dont feed your leo pinkies too often or it will refuse anything else. this happend to me with pinkies and waxworms. its a pain in the butt to get them to start eating the crickets and mealworms again.
I had this problem with my little guy. It really seems sometimes to depends on what the breeder is feeding the animal, as it may not recognize other food sources. For example, if the previous caretaker had only fed it crickets, it may not yet understand mealies and mice. Just a thought.
Thank you for your help. As far as the pinkies i was just trying to give him that extra kick in his diet since he was new to my enclosure. I guess i will see what he does and keep everyone posted.
