Help upper resp. infection.

mikesciuto Oct 25, 2006 04:08 PM

A few of my breeders seem to have it. They are making a sort of gargeling sound when trying to hiss and 1 or 2 have a small amount of slime in the corners of their mouth. I raised the temp. in my room 5 degrees it was 81 at night and 85 durring the day. Should I give them antibotics if so what kind and where do I gat it?

Luckily (knock wood)i havent had an RI with any of mine. I do know that resp. infections are extremely fast moving and lethal. If at all possible, you should take them to the vet. By the time you get the meds, it might be too late. Also, from what I understand, RI's can be viral or bacterial in nature? Even the bacterial ones may need different antibiotics depending on their type.

Dont risk your big girls, or any of your snakes, go to the vet.
