Follicles are just the female's contribution (an ooctye filled with yolk) with the potential to be fertilized and produce an ovum. I believe it's after ovulation that the female begins to seek the warm side. But I'm sure someone else here knows better than me, I've only watched the DVD once...

I have a 1700 gram female that has never been breed. She will breed this season for the first time. She loves to wrap around her bowl all the time. I think some just prefer it. In fact when i change her bedding first thing she does is pack everything down around her bowl.

most likely your just reading into things too much. Sometimes females wrap around their bowls before ovulation, but that is usually when they are going to ovulate, meaning they have been with a male.
