corn snake with a swollen mouth

persicaphobiac Oct 26, 2006 01:32 AM

I have a friend with a cornsnake that has a swollen mouth, this one is very young. i'd say a few months, not exactly sure. I'd like to help her out. any suggestions?

Also, if you have suggestions for a gecko with a swollen tail, that would be helpful too.

get it to a vet. Sounds like stomatitis to me and probably needs antibiotics.

The Corn should go to a vet, sounds like a mouth infection which will invariably affect eating and worse.

For the Gecko, is the tail swollen or just puffy looking? If it's still smaller than the gecko's body there may be nothing wrong. They store extra fat in their tails and it often gets fat because they are fed too well. How often and how much of what are you feeding it??
