And he is probably pretty close to pushing 48". I swear he gets bigger every day!! LOL He has gotten to where he hates being put back into his enclosure. Last night he DID NOT want to be put back. Sounded like WW III in the snake room, knocked some heat lamps off, knocked his enclosure lid off......LOL He loves to be out and about, and as soon as I put him back in the enclosure, he is as fast as greased lightning trying to get back out!! Smart little bugger. Im really looking forward to when he his full grown, that ought to be fun!!!
Happy herping

Hey Brian,
He's looking sharp. It's cool having a large snake that you raised yourself. It gets better as the snake gets bigger. I have an 02 male that is 64", and I can't wait to get him pushing 7'.
Enjoy.

That is pushing 64"???? What have you been feeding that monster? I have an albino black rat that is an '02 and he is maybe 24"!! Still skinny but putting on the length.

So what kind of snake is this behemoth you have?? Im curious.

And yes it is cool to have a snake that you can watch grow and mature!
Happy herping

I'm sorry, brain malfunction. That's a 2000 hatchling. 3 years old. The biggest I've ever gotten a black rat in 1 year is 46"twice). For me they usually get 30 to 42 inches the first year. Sorry for the mix up.
