Mandarin Boas...pictures.... finally

drimes Oct 26, 2006 08:14 PM

Well, I was taking pictures of some of our babies tonight and decided to get a couple of the Mandarin boas that we picked up from Hans Winner in Daytona this year. These little ones just have the most intense orange color that I have ever seen on a boa that size. I have included a couple of shots with some of our keeper babies we produced this year, just to show the color difference.
Thanks,
Kathy & Denny

a nice light pink baby with a Mandarin boa

a baby that is a little more richly colored still looks very pale in comparison

Some awesome looking boas you got there!! I have never heard of those before. Where did you get them?

I love those boas they are so bright and clean. Very nice.

I think they are codominant and he was selling the dominant form. I'm not really sure if he had both forms there. Pretty sweet though. Trey Schneller, Schneller Reptiles

Hey Trey,
How are you? Yes, they are supposed to be the super form from a co-dom trait and I can tell you for certain that they have something cool going on. I have never seen a boa that size with soooo much color. The camera still didn't catch it all, and the female wasn't even "fired up" like she usually is. We are really excited to be working with this group of boas. We picked up the last one in the states, in Chicago, a couple of weeks ago. So now between us and Gray we have all the ones presently in the U.S.

Hey Kathy, I just wanted to say that my family and I had a great time with you and Denny at Daytona. Good snake talk and beer are always my two favorite combinations. I really liked the mandarin boas but couldn't spend that kinda cash when I had leopards and jungles on my mind. They're like squaretail color without having to worry with a recessive morph. They're really incredible in person, and when you word it right and say yall and gray are the only ones with them, it makes me want one even more (I get jealous easily). Hope to see you guys at a show soon, maybe Daytona 07. Have a good one, and tell Denny I said hello. Trey Schneller, Schneller Reptiles.

Hi Alan,
Glad to hear those babies are doing well. You are the first on the list for when we produce some Mandarins. If you think those little salmons have color these things will blow your mind.
Kathy
