Draka no like Bob

draco_americanus Oct 26, 2006 08:35 PM

I tryed an introduction with my two dragons today and it did not work well. Draka puffed her body up, puffed and darkened her chin pouch and made a real nice hissss. Bob's reaction was to just sit and bask him self as if not taking note of the littler dragons hiss.
Now my question is draka darkend her beard and puffed it out,is this typical for a female todo? or so i have two guys?

Hi,

I know females do the black beard thing too as a defence mechanism.

Males tend to do it both for defence and to show dominance over a female.

Not sure what to reccomend with introducing them. Not really experienced in that department.

I tryed to introduce them another time and this time I just set her down with out holding her, This time she whent for a few of bob's crickets then decided to run to bob, jump up on him and lick him a few times! Bob did nothing but to just look at her the whole time! I was suprized by the change in draka and allow them some suprvized visits
