kylet Oct 26, 2006 08:39 PM

okay, so my boa hasnt ate in a month because ive been trying to convert her to f/t and figured shed finally get hungry enough and give in, well she won and i gave in tonite and went and got a couple live mice and she didnt want anything to do with them. before she was an awesome eater. Well, also while all this is going on ive been trying to treat her and my rainbow boa for mites (with reptile relief)which i have no idea where they came from but it seems like ill never get rid of. Anyways my boa seems stressed out i gues after she wouldnt eat she got wrapped up in my vcr cord and i tryed to get her out and ended up gettin bit. do mites effect eating habits? im sure stress does any ideas on either the eating or the mites i would appreciate it

I used reptile relief on mine and sprayed the enclosure with Prevent-O-Mite. The ones in the enclosure died immediately. You have to follow directions thoroughly and very careully. I sprayed the enclosures (minus the snakes and water dishes) then allowed to dry and aired out with an electric fan for about 40 minutes to make sure. I have no mites now!! Make sure the snakes dont get that reptile reflief around the face or eyes.

You can get it on the face. Put it on a twoel first and rub the face. It is NON TOXIC. when used as directed, and it directs you to do that. I recommend Provent-a-mite for the cage too. With reptile relief alone you have to clean the whole cage and everything every three days for a whole month after you saw the last one too.

It usually really easy to convert to frozen thawed too. You must be missing something there.
