Mexican Hog not eating, PLEASE help

FireDrake Oct 26, 2006 08:41 PM

I bought 1.1 mex hogs, who were supposedly eating brained unscented pinks. One, the female ate for me real well until recently, and the male hasnt eaten a bit.

I want to try scented, but unsure what to scent them with???
Lizards? Maybe a silly question but might bearded dragons or crested geckos work? I can run a pinkie on one or another. LOL

Thanks

Sarah

Mexican Hognoses have a real strong hibernation response even if you keep them warm, they also go off feed for no apparent reason too. They love lizards, mine will take anoles like popcorn. Also,if its real dry where your at run a humidifier in your snake room in the morning for a couple of hours and they will go bananas and probably eat your finger, lol. It tricks them bigtime with the higher humidity in the room all of a sudden. Hope this helps. Kevin Fisher

Ok I'll try the humidity.

And, when I have baby corns go off feed, I cool them and then they wake up hungry, are these guys like that?

Thanks
