Hibernation for skinny ones?

shuggie728 Oct 26, 2006 09:39 PM

My collareds are trying to go into hibernation.
I've kept it a good temp trying to wake them up more.
They are pretty skinny and don't think they can handle a hibernation this winter...
Is it okay to let them? or should I wait until they are healthier???

any ideas?

If the lizards are skinny, I would not hibernate them, try keeping them warm and hopefully they'll eat and put on some weight. If they are wild caughts from this year, their internal clock could be telling them to hiberbate.
