Hi everyone,
I just got my first leopard tortoise baby. I want to get him some natural sunlight by letting him out in the grass to graze and soak up some sun. Is regular backyard grass on your lawn safe for them to digest? Does the grass have to be unfertilized? Thanks for your help.

My russian would only eat crab grass for the first 3 weeks I got him, and it had no detrimental effect on him.
