Hello everyone. Which kind of incubators to you all use? I'm in the market for one, some are much more expensive than others. In your opinion, which is the best bang for the buck.
Obviously I want something VERY reliable.
Thanks in advance,
T

Mike, I noticed your last name. Are you the electrician I have seen at Daytona over the years?
Thanks Mike Bell

Mike,
I remember seeing your website, I think your wife and mine also have the same name.
There is another Mike Bell in the reptile business. I met him in Daytona many years ago. He saw some electrical wire holding cups in my boxes and figured I must be an electrician like he was, he was really surprised to find out that not only were we both electricians but we have the same name.
Take care, Mike
How handy are you? How many clutches will you have? If only one or two, a cooler and a good thermostat is all you need, if more, an old refrigerator works great. All you need is something that can hold temperature well and not be affected by humidity...Add an aquarium fan to keep the air stired up a little (I use a dimmer to keep the fan moving slow) I do have a little bit of an advantage as I am an electrician and refrigeration guy but they really are easy to build. Main thing is, keep the incubator in a room that does not go above the temp you are shooting for and use a backup thermostat...one set at 1 or 2 degrees above your setpoint so it will shut the system down if you pass the optimum temp.
