Question for my fellow Boa lovers...

tcdrover Oct 27, 2006 11:15 AM

I've got a small male albino boa less than a year old whose
body gets noticably thicker after about 3 inches down. He's
still pretty small. He's very healthy and a great eater.

I've had plenty of boas and other snakes, but I don't remember
seeing a boa like that before. Usually they get progressively
thicker slowly. This guy gets thicker all of a sudden and then
his body is proportionate.

Maybe he has some Argentine blood in him? What could it be?

I'll post a pic tomorrow...

I chock it up to differences in build. Some people have differences in build too. My snake built like that is a half sister to two others I have, and they do not display this trait. The girl that has the little 'body builder' build is short and wide too. I think it's cool looking. Viva la deffierence" eh?

Never had a BCO, they're supposed to be stockier...

It's cool don't get me wrong. I also thought it might be some
kind of defect...

I see this trait in my colombian, and have noticed differences in 'build' on BCCs too. I have another female who has that look too.
