sulcata and three-toes?

cornobbled Oct 27, 2006 04:14 PM

I just wanted to get your opinion, I have a sulcata thats about 6 in and a smaller three-toed thats about the size of a kiwi, I don't keep them together but today I tried it and my sulcata was being very territorial(bumping, following, ramming). Do you think that this would be to stressful on the smaller guy or will my sulcata back down after a few days?

Do not keep them together. A Sulcata could easily inury a box turtle. They also have completely different habitat and dietary needs.

Not to mention the fact that one species may be able to carry a disease or parasite with no harm and it may kill the other. It's always best to keep different species in separate enclosures.
