I have a 10 year old normal female ball python that I took in a couple years ago as a rescue. She is about 4 feet long. She was underweight with skin hanging on her. Once she was hydrated and eating decent sized meals on a regular basis she put on a lot of weight and filled out nicely. Even though she had never been with or near a male bp, in july 05 she presented me with a clutch of 8 eggs. The eggs were about the size and weight of a large chicken egg. They went bad after two weeks (infertile).
Today she now weighs in at 2495 g (5.5 lbs) with an empty stomach so she's put on quite a bit of weight in the last year compared to the year before. Her weight at the time she was gravid was around 2387g / 5.25 lbs).
I plan on breeding her with a friend's axanthic het albino male soon. For her size/weight and considering the size of the infertile clutch, can I reasonably expect her to lay a similar sized or a larger size clutch this time around?
