Qestion for spilotes breeders

Donv Oct 28, 2006 12:15 PM

I'm contemplating the purchase of some captive born babies. I previously had a pair of stunning wild caught adults with super clean yellow bands. I've recently seen several babies where the yellow appears almost muddy looking. My question is, does the yellow banding /spots on juvenile spilotes tend to brighten up as they age? Additionly, does anyone know of people who have captive bred spilotes available? Thanks in advance, Don.

All of mine never changed in regards to brightness. Some had the yellow patterns "spread out" as they grew but stayed either as bright or "muddied" as when they were born. Check out the classifieds under New World Rat Snakes.
