There's now a ton of cool morphs and many never before seen combos will be produced in the next few years. Normals are also stunning but these snakes in general seem to be lacking the popularity they deserve. I will be posting a really cool one in the Pit forum as soon as it sheds...not even quite sure exactly what it is yet

You will fall in love with them. Many think of the personality as pissy...they can be. But these are inquisitive snakes and are much different than other colubrids. I was working in my snake room last year...and saw my breeder female Southern Pine watching me from her hide. I looked on my hatchling shelf and 11 of her babies in 11 seperate containers were all sitting with their heads peeked out watching me too! It was really cool, as if they were so curious they could not help but to peek. I have more Kings than anything, but I think I have about 20 pits now and I am getting a few more in a week or two. Love em

Have you ever seen a snake dig? I have, and it was a Pit.
It would lung forward and pull it's head to the side and coil sand into itself. Pretty awesome stuff! I've been working with snakes since '91 and have not seen anything like it from another species. I'll have to see if I can get it on video.

Pits under appreciated??? Not by me, Tom! Love those Gophers!
And, Patton, yes I have seen one of my Pits ('05 fem Great Basin Gopher snake). I watched her excavate the sani chip shavings from her warm hide. It was pretty funny to watch. She would sort of scoop substrate in the crook of he neck and lunge backward pulling it out! Awesome.

As always, beautiful snakes Tom. I like that corn in the 13th pic. What morph is it? Ghost?

That is an Anery Ultramel from SMR, it's a male that will hopefully breed a few different females making triple and quad hets. Tons of fun.

Actually I am in TX and my daughter has only been to a few local shows....she LOVES snakes and was playing with a clutch of over 20 Corns that day. I use Photobucket.com as my host and there are 3 options for linking pics. I used to use URL for one at a time, I believe the other option is called [IMG] and that is the one that you can paste right into the area you usually use for text[meaning the area you are looking at right now] as opposed to the options at the bottom of this page.

Yeah guys- here's how to post multiple images here:

When you post a reply, right below the 'Message:' area where you type your text, you'll see a link called 'Tools and Toys'. If you click that, it'll show you all the HTML tags you can add to your post, along with examples of what they do.

The key is to us [ ] instead of the traditional < > for html tags.

So, if you know the image URL of an image you're trying to post, just place the entire URL in between the img your image URL here /img. (Putting the [ ] around each img tag)

You can use any image URL you have your images posted. (i.e. photobucket, phototime, gallery, etc.) If it's posted somewhere on an Internet accessible server, you can post a link to it here)

Each individual image URL you post has to be in between those tags to display correctly.

Hope this helps,
//Todd
