Is it necessary? thanks.
We hatch our own chicks and one the ones I am going to feed, I feed them
a mixture of crushed catfood and laying mash for a couple days before
feeding. The catfood is mainly meat and high in protien and the laying
mash is high in calcium. Would love to hear other suggestions if there is
something else we should be doing.

Nina
I add calcium(bone meal) to them only because I noticed a more watery feces with chicks. The bone meal stops that
I don't add anything if I feed them chicks only once a week. It's probably not needed but it stops the messy stuff
When feeding primarily peeps for a long period of time...yes, I do.

Wrestling joke.

Thanks all, for the responses. So it basically boils down to if the monitors getting enough nutritional value from other sources. In my case since I feed mainly rodents and peeps sporadically it wouldn't be necessary.Great!
