Egg Question

medyssa Oct 29, 2006 04:11 PM

I have an egg incubating right now, it was laid on 8/25 so I am waiting for it to hatch. Should I see the egg moving? If not, should I be worried that the egg isnt going to hatch? This is my first egg that hasnt rotted, and my Rhacodactylus book doesnt say anything about seeing movement.
Thanks,
Jess

hey Jess,

So far this year I've had 45 out of 46 hatch out and not once did I get the opportunity to see one come out. I have mine incubatiing in a clear container so that I could see when they come out but no such luck. Give the egg time to hatch on its own. It's a funny thing because only 20 minutes ago a baby of mine hatched out and Im waiting on his clutch mate. They usually hatch out within 2 months (depending on temp) but I've had some go 3 weeks over that, so it really varies. Good luck and dont worry, if he's in there he'll come out.

Good Luck

Cresty
