Edible and inedible plants

UroTamer Oct 30, 2006 04:40 AM

How about we share info and links about plants, edible, inedible, toxic, whatever. For our new member uri_grama, as well as each other to grow and learn.
After that we can start new topics to help each other. When you get right down to it we're all newbies at something, right!?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what's the difference between "non-toxic" and "edible"????

Good question!! I had to think about that one. Basically non-toxic means not poisonous, but not necessarily beneficial either.

Edible would be plants that indeed do have nutritional value, or are categorized as food items.

Awwww, you guys make me feel so welcome and have so much info to share. Thanks PHEve for the new link. I'll read as soon as I can. And Kenn I think starting that thread would be really useful for me and others. As popular as uro's are getting I'm sure I won't be the only newbie for long. Thanks again for info and keeping me on the right track for Scooter. You guys are awesome!!!

You're too kind uri_grama. We were all newbies at one time. It feels good to have a place like this to share with others. PHEve is very good and knowledgeable, as are so many others here, as well as in other forums.
I'm sure Scooter is having a ball with you. I know you're having fun with him/her. And so starts the reptile fever
If you're interested in reading about Uros in their home territory check out the links under my name. They are interesting, not to mention the only ones I've found so far like them.

You might consider adding this one:

It's not an article, but it's several years worth of observation notes and other information.
