04 Guyana size????

Weekendherper Oct 30, 2006 04:53 PM

I have an 04 guyana red tail that has been a sporadic "regurger" over the last 2 years. She seems to not be able to take more than 1 food item at a feeding. She's regurged 4 times in the last 2 1/2 years. I waited about 3 weeks each time before trying again.

At this point she is just over 800 grams and about 4 feet. I'm feeding her 1 small rat (Rodent pro size) every 10 days or so. I have had her on 2 treatments of Panacur before. She looks a little skinny and I'm wondering if she is "grossly" underweight for her age/size?

Any comments appreciated.

Here's an old picture of her.

Just feed her one prey item per feeding. She looks thin in the pic but not horribly so. Some snakes just can't do more than one prey item.
She's mighty pretty too. Good luck with her.

Apparently BCC grow at a slower rate than BCI as well (even though eventually they can grow bigger overall, just takes them longer). Very nice looking snake!
