cool pics.........try taking a few shots outside under sunlight and don't use a flash....you'll be surprised at what you produce.

I'm still learning photography myself...........actually I have sheet to to learn!!!

Thanks for posting. All of my snakes get plenty of attention including the hypo hondurans that like to bite and poop. I find the trick in handling them is to have a few beers before hand to slow the jerk reaction down a bit

i really wanna take them outside for some fresh air and pretty pics, but when you work 6 days a week and 13 hrs a day its hard to get a nice warm day to take pics. maybe i'll just bring some to work with me and take pics outside... nothing like snakes and junk cars!!! hey- maybe i could take a pic of a snake and a tow truck.... hmmm... maybe even the 1940-something mercury and my snake....thanks for the idea...might have to do that!!

ooooh pretty!!! i'm trying not to get sucked into thayeri...but its hard... i'm mainly into corns....if you havent seen my list below... and then cal kings....ken casstevens got me hooked on them... and now i have 2 thayeri....once again... my first one started with ken again!! so within another year....no one knows where i'll be and what my taste will lead towards.... but i must admit ya'll have some nice ones!!!

What's up Kinion? Welcome to the forum. You'll find these folks on here have some really smokin' Thayeri, and a lot of helpful advice. Be careful, though, as you will not have any control over your new addiction. You will be powerless. lol. Good move getting that female from Russ. He definately has some beautiful snakes. I knew you had a bunch of snakes, but until I actually saw it I didn't realize your list was that extensive. Nice collection.

IT looks larger than it really is.... and i still have 12 of emilys hatchlings to get out too... just waiting to feed regularly before selling....on top of my reptiles my 15 cats, 5 chickens, 3 dogs, 2 birds....i have a lil zoo! and the kings and thayeri are your fault!! it all started with skunky and now i'm up to how many kings? and then giuseppe is like my b-day present and he cant be lonely in his adult years talk to you later!!!

VERY COOL. i go home and look at mine everynight definatly hooked, it definatly is great to have one species that looks so much different, thats why i think they grab my attention so much, the possibilities, i also kinda like how there is no "Morph" so to speak with these guys, its just all a matter of pairing up two adults that you think would either compliment each other or that are two different ends of the spectrum. have fun!

The one end of the spectrum that I wish was represented more is melanistic Thayeri. At one time they were pretty common, but now they're hard to find. I've been looking to get a pair for a couple of years now and I've only seen a couple offered, I was to slow on the draw to get either one of them too.

A melinistic would be nice, but i would have to really trust the person that i bought it from so i know i am getting what i am paying for and not a cross of some sort. its kinda like that discussion a few months back on what you would do if an albino popped out of a clutch, would you question your stock? and even if you bought the pair from really reputable people would you question it..

That's exactly why I'm not too keen on hybrids. After a few sales, and a generation or two later, nobody knows what's in the mix anymore. I know there are pure melanistic Thayeri out there still, I'll just have to be patient.

I hear you man, there is a guy on this forum who i have done quite a bit of business with and i would totally buy one from him, and if anyone else that is standard member that has the same views as i, but in all honesty if i saw one on the classifieds and havent seen the name before i would have to pass
