I am new to the whiteside trait. I have learned the trait came out of Tim Ricks axanthics? I wondered if they were all in fact also axanthic based on that being the origin, but have been informed that is not true. Mine is seen here obviously milky from getting ready to shed, but to me it almost looks hypo too. The bands seem to be about right for typical Florida type instead of what I would consider “Brooks” type. I don’t recall seeing any pictures of adult WS that had yellow, that’s why I wondered if they weren’t all axanthic too. I have seen a picture of an adult on the Professional Breeders site or advert that showed an adult WS with a big spot of dark pigment and yellow, but that was the only one. I hope you get more info on this in this thread. I posted a question on the hybrid forum to see if anyone has established any relation to leucism. No input there yet...

The offspring were all anery double het for albino whiteside right? Anything unexpected? Have any babies left for sale?Jeff
