My sandfish laid an egg! Now what??? Help!

My sandfish, ehich I've only had for about 4 months, laid an egg. I have no clue what to do so it will hatch.

Keep it moist and generally warm. Time is of the essence with that. Someone else can give you particulars, but if it's in the cage, take it out and at least put it on a wet paper towel. You don't want it to dry out. Don't flip it over though. I just don't want you to lose the egg while waiting for a good post :P. In the meantime, look up skink egg care on the net, I'm sure there's something.

Although its not strictly a health issue, I would try posting on the herpatological health forum on kingsnake. There are heaps of very experienced herpers on that forum.

Incubate in vermiculite moistened at a ratio of 1 to 1 by weight of vermiculite and water. Incubate @ 85 degrees F.
