Help me! I've been scammed!

mountain_goat Aug 06, 2003 09:41 PM

Hi guys. I think I've just been burned in a trade deal with another individual. I know things are always at your own risk and I accept full responsibility for falling prey to a scam, but I was just wondering if anyone can give me any advice about if there is anything I can do in retaliation? All I've got is his home address and a bunch of emails, but I doubt there is much I can do. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Jon

To make a long story short, someone replied to a trade ad that I had posted and we began to correspond through emails and I accepted his offer. He was supposed to send first, but had a few hang ups and said he couldnt make it to the post office in time and would do it the next day during his lunch break, which is the day I had planned to send mine. So we agreed to both send on the same day...and I sent mine...but he didn't send his. And now a day or two has passed since I sent mine, but I'm getting the feeling I've been scammed.
