Blaptica Dubia Roaches?

draco_americanus Oct 30, 2006 11:39 PM

Any one breed or feed Blaptica Dubia to thier dragons?
I just started to try and establish a colonly of these, I have wanted to try roaches as they don't have the stench that crickets have. I have read that some use lobster roaches but have been concered that they can climb glass while the Dubia can't. I have to say these things are fascenating to watch though kinda creepy at the same time(not to mention the tank they are in, is in my bedroom at the moment)
I still don't know what would be a good humidity to keep them at?
I think these are also known as Orange Spotted Roaches?

I do believe orange spotted roaches have been used as feeders for bearded dragons. Just not really familiar with them myself. However, if they are not too large or hard shelled, they should be fine, as long as they are fed a well balanced diet. The feeder forum may give more info about this species.

I have them. They are good. No noise, no stench and my Beardie eats them like candy.
