Need some help...

whatsmynameagain Oct 31, 2006 12:04 AM

I am doing a persuasive speech in one of my classes on the reasons that snakes can make good pets and trying to help educate. I'm a snake owner myself but I'm pretty much nobody so my opinion doesn't count. I need some kind of credible sources and facts to back me up, but, as you can imagine, it's not that easy to find people defending snakes. Does anyone have any idea where I can find some credible sources to back me up? (internet, books, interviews, etc.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try Jeff Ronne, the boaphile (he is usually on here)... his website is boaphileplastics.com (you can probably email from there or call him) and is a well known successful boa breeder and has contributed to several books. He's bred literally thousands of boas and has seen a ton of behaviors as well as talked to plenty of snake owners for his business and at all the shows he goes to, I'm sure

There are tons more, but Jeff's the one who popped into my head first.
