Passing gas normal?

crazydragon Oct 31, 2006 08:37 AM

I know this is a weird questions, but it just started. This is the 2nd day I've heard my dragon pass gas? Is this normal! She never did this before. We feed her romaine, and mustard lettuce and her crickets so far. She also gets her calicum and vitamins,I give her distilled water. Her temps. in the tank are fine and her poop looks normal. Am I feeding her too much lettuce and crickets? She eats about 20 or more crickets a meal, and about 1/4 cup of lettuce sometimes less. She is feed twice a day. She is between 10 to 12 months old and is 16 1/2 inches, she use to be 150 grams but its been a while since she was weigh. I just want to make sure she's ok

I have been told and read to avoid romaine as food for these guys, I guess it lacks any real vaule to thier diet.

Good staple greens for bearded dragons are: collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, endive, and escaroli. Other greens that should be mixed in for variety are: parsley, Chinese lettace, other dark leafy greens, bell peppers, etc. For a more complete list and indications on what to feed how often, check the site below.
