Intermediate frogs?

vt Aug 06, 2003 09:51 PM

I have been keeping Dendrobates leucomelas for about 2-3 years now. I have kept them successfully and have enjoyed them. I have also bred them many times with great success. I think I am ready to go to a intermediate species but I don't know exactly what would be good. I like pumilio bastimentos morph but I have heard they can be difficult to keep and breed. What would be a good species to hone my skills and to become ready for pumilio?

Dendrobates leucomelas 2.1.9

You could actually go several ways depending on what you like. Bold, colorful, nice call, etc............ Imitators would be a good frog or, Azureus or, Terribilis would be a nice addition as well. Just depends on what you are looking for. Don't get me wrong Pumillios would to but you would more than likely have to get on a list for them. Just to hard to find someone selling them outright.

Just my opinion
