plains or mexican? And how do you tell?

It looks like a Mexican to me but I could be wrong. This opinion comes from working with hundreds of westerns and noticing alot of differences in pattern between all of them and this one.

Besides pattern and colors the easiest way to tell is to look at the scales that lie right above the snout and between the eyes, westerns have several small scales , where mexicans have a few large scales.

Thanks. My smaller western had I believe 11 scales where as the knew girl had only 7 scales. So I guess it is a mexican.
