Whatever it is on its shell, your turtle appears to have grown out of it. I have seen that on healthy, full grown wild turtles.

On the other hand, if your turtle gapes its mouth open like that frequently, I would be a little concerned.

this is not a full grown turtle its a yearling and it doesnt usally do that. what should i wtch out for tho if it does?

You'll learn alot more about turtles in general if you do some reading: then you'll find that you probably won't have to ask so many questions.
