Lethargic Snake. .

BRB_Russ Nov 01, 2006 10:20 AM

Ok, first off my rainbow has been awsome! I think it is a girl because i cant find any spurs on her . . And my local pet store said they wont probe her till she is older as to not harm her sexual organs.

She has been great to have, i've never been bit she is allways fine with being picked up etc.

The only thing is she doesnt do anything. She is allways in her hide box burrowed underneith her substrate next to her moss. I never see her outside of her hide box besides when i pick her up. I know Rainbows are nocturnal. . so natrually she is sleeping durring the day, but i figured she would come out and say hi at some point . . .

I guess i'll just have to deal with it.

p.s. her tank is kept between 73*-80*

A rainbow with a nice comfy hide. Mine don't typically come out until late evening and even then only when they're either hungry or want to leave a mess for me to clean up.

When she's hungry, she'll come out looking for food.

IMO the ONLY bad thing about BRBs is that if you set them up right, you never see them. This is why I can frequently be found in my snake room at 2:00 am watching them explore their cages. Makes for a rough day at work
