Halloween Pattern?

jswanson737 Nov 01, 2006 11:48 AM

Can anyone post some pics of these "halloween" milks?

Also, is there another common name for these? What is the biological name of these?

They are gorgeous!

Thanks

What most people are calling "Halloween milks" are probably the bicolored apricot or tangerine Pueblan milks (L.t.campbelli).

This one isn't a Pueblan, but an aberrant Honduran that my wife dubbed a "Halloween Honduran"

heres one for you. This one was produced by Mike Perez.I was the one who named the halloween milks and the oreo pueblans.Mike has produced some screamers like this one.A true Halloween should look like this. They can have a little red showing but they should be just bi-colored.
Also, this is not a reccesive gene like albino etc...never purchase a "het for halloween" ever.

Bred together they produced all normals for the first two years then on the third year about half the clutch was halloween. This male halloween bred back to his mother (mother was normal)resulted in about 30 normals and 2 halloweens.

Super nice Don. The less black the better, in my opinion.
Hoping to see one or more all orange one day.
