Threw up! what can that be???

I got a albino cal king about a month and a half ago and its been eating every 4-5 days and he has shed twice since i got him and he is vary active and seams to be doing really great but the last two time i fed him he threw up the half digested pinky the next day and i was woundering what that could be from im not holding him after he eats or anything and hes never done this before so can someone tell me what that can be from please.

Very often snakes will regurgitate when the temperatures get too cool. Check your temperatures.

Oh, and if it isn't too much trouble, could you please add punctuation to your post next time. It was very difficult to understand what you were saying.

LOL about the missing punctuation. That seems to be more and more the norm in e-communications. It's unlikely that we'll be able to reverse the trend. However, I may have a solution.

Below is a list of punctuation marks that concerned readers can cut and paste as they see fit:

. , ; : " ' ! ? ( ) -

And let's not forget about capitalization:

Oh, and in case you need to tone down some E-SCREAMING.

While we are wasting time, this is one of the reasons spell checkers are leading the demise of our language...

WOW Gotta love that brilliant YELLOW, you saying that it is an intergrade of Holbrooki & Splendida,any how awesome animal ive seen it posted before and never chimed in,not familiar with those species dont see avail much in Fla.what are the common names: heard Specks(speckled) frequently,i believe refering to Splendida

Supposedly there are two naturally occurring variations in holbrooki (speckled kingsnakes) the true one-spot-per-scale speck and this more busy pattern(southern coastal). This snake falls in an intergrade zone with splendida(desert kingsnake) and I have found both subs in the area, but I truely believe this to be a speck. I have many splendida and several holbrooki and I believe them to be very close but distinct. The ones around Houston and in Louisiana are very bright indeed, and I am now seeing the far northern specks with the checkerboard pattern as well. I like these guys from calhoun county, Texas because they are showing me how far south these snakes still occur. Gotta love the specks, and the splendbrooki thing was an inside joke to Chrish, with whom I have discussed this location with before. Here's two hatchlings from the same area and an adult from 1/2 a county away. See the giant difference in the two "morphs"?

thanx Todd ,that helps my ID the snakes so specks are pretty much the Holbrooki and deserts are the Splendida,and the close proximity of the snakes pictured brings up the sub species controversy .too cool, produce those YELLOW ones

Got my fingers crossed and they all just ate their last meals of the year, they are all going down right before Thanksgiving, except for the juvies. i hope to get all 3 morphs of holbrooki, some normaland some chocolate splendida, as well as some black and white splendies from Brewster county!

what is different,has anything changed?someone mentioned temps-a likely culprit-but are you actually monitoring temps?humidity?....yeah low temps are likely with a kign ergurging,but temps too hi can do the same with other snakes and it's not outta the question here either.and no don't feed him again 'in a few days',i'd suggest waiting a good week to ten days.does he haev a good snug hidebox,preferably two?i think you already mentioned you didn't handle him for a while after feeding;that's good.hope this helped?
